Our story
I’m Vanessa, the founder and artist behind Maniqura.
As a mother of 2 young and very energetic children, I understand the constant juggle of balancing family, career, home, and self care. One day I sat in a salon chair for 1.5 hours and had my nails painted a gel colour I chose. Unfortunately for me, I got bored of the colour just 2 days later. Not only did I just pay a sum to have them done, I was now about to pay to have them removed. Feeling a little bit of buyers remorse, I looked for alternative options and discovered the world of press-on nails.
I never wore extensions or grew my nails long for fear that I would accidentally stab my young children or break a nail while doing my household chores.
In my search for the perfect press-on length, I quickly learnt that most press-on nails in the market are long in length and not suitable for the demands of motherhood and managing my household. Inspired by my own experiences, I set out to create a range of artisan press-on nails that would provide both convenience and style.
Our artisan press-on nails are a testament to this journey, offering short and practical designs that cater to the needs of busy mums and women like myself. With our range of press-on nails, you can enjoy the beauty of salon-quality nails without sacrificing precious time or worrying about the demands of everyday tasks.
